Yoga for Basketball Players
What
does Blake Griffin, Lebron James, Wakefield High School, Bakersfield
High School, Kareen Abdul Jabbar, University of Maryland Basketball
team, Jordan Farmar, Kevin Love, Dirk Nowiztki, Antawn Jamison, Reggie
Miller and Coach Kenny Robinson all have in common besides their love
for basketball? Yoga. Poses like downward- facing dog strengthens the
shoulders and extends the range of motion which is great for shooting,
rebounding and wind mill dunks.
Yoga for Basketball
Players is a mind and body regimen
that focuses on areas specific to basketball players for building strength and
flexibility and helps to prevent injuries.
Our practice incorporates yoga poses that:
♦ Stretch the hamstrings,
back and shoulder muscles, while building upper-body strength and flexibility
♦ Opens the hips,
working the adductor muscles, while strengthening the core and improves balance
♦ Helps develop focus and concentration
Every: Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Cost for basketball players: $15 per session. Contact Coach Kenny for more information at kennyrobinson@bulldawgbasketball.com
