Basketball Fundamental Skill training –
Beginners*
This session will
cover the basic offensive fundamentals of the game. The purpose is to develop
those skills that are useful to players interested in playing recreation and
other organized league play.
Tuesdays- 5:00 p.m.
to 6:00 p.m.

Basketball Fundamental Skill Training-
Intermediate**
This session will
cover advanced basketball fundamentals. Players should be able to make left and
right hand layups consistently and dribble with both hands.
Mondays- 6:00 to 7:00 St. Charles Catholic Church, Arlington
Thursdays- 6:00 to 7:00 Trinity

Basketball Drills for Conditioning –
Intermediate to Advanced***
This session will
develop the players overall game and prepare them to play competitively at both
the AAU and high school level. The drills wills improve the player’s ability to
execute fundamental basketball skills at game speed against other players of
the same ability. The purpose of this session is to create drills that simulate
game situations and to improve the player’s confidence in his/her ability to
play at a high level. This session will also discuss the psychological aspects
of the game and basketball gamesmanship.

Basketball Reaction and Agility
Training – All levels
This session will
improve players overall athletic ability and reaction time for basketball and is
useful for athletes of all sports. Through the use of specifically designed drills
we will work on improving a players balance, footwork, quickness, reaction time
and agility.
Fridays 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. St. Charles Catholic Church
Fee for all above clinics- Drop in $15 per session (Checks made
payable to Beyond the Hoop)
Private Individual Training- We will work on developing
fundamental skills of the basketball player based on coach’s evaluation of strengths and
weaknesses. Each player will get a written evaluation on their skills and what
they need to work on from the coach at the end of the first session. Sessions will
last fifty minutes to an hour.
Fee: $50 per session.
Levels:
*Beginner: For players
with limited or no experience. This session will cover basics in ball handling,
passing and shooting techniques. Typically players in grades 1 - 5
**Intermediate: For players with some experience. We
will cover more advanced ball handling and shooting techniques such as
dribbling with pressure, dribbling for shot, catch shoot and other techniques
to improve offensive ability. Typically players in grades 6- 8.
***Advanced: This is for experienced players with
who are playing at the AAU or high school level and need to refine their
techniques or improve their ability to execute them in a game situation.Typically players in grades 8 - 12.
